Usual Rules: No googling etc. Name the song and singer(s), and the link between them

1) Here comes Johnny singing, “I gotta woman down in the tunnels, trying to make it pay”

2) If you see me walking down the street, and I start to cry, each time we meet,

3) There’s a pretty little thing, waiting for the King

4) Some may say, I’m wishing my days away. No way.

5) So I took a big chance at a High School Dance with a missy who was ready to play.

6) Now I don't want you back for the weekend, not back for a day , no no no

7) You were the sweetest thing that I ever knew. But I don't care for sugar, honey, if I can't have you.

8) Plucked her eyebrows on the way, Shaved her legs and then he was a she

9) If you want to find all the cops, they're hanging out in the donut shop

10) I find it very, very easy to be true, I find myself alone when each day is through

4) Walking on the Moon - the Police
8) Walk on the wild side - Lou Reed

1) Walk of Life - dire straits
2) Walk on By - can't remember artist
3) Walking in Memphis - Mark Coen

8) Walk on the Wild Side - Lou Reid

Two of the others, I know the lyrics, but had to Google to remind me of the name of the song, so I can't put them in (6 & 7)

Theme is probably walking

That's the first one of these you've done where I've actually known or heard all of the songs!

Yeah, I got the impression some of my choices were sometimes obscure, so hence I've taken to posting the answers with youtube links generally. Not sure I'm going to bother this time.

You're entirely correct for your answers!

And, of course, the title.

The format is based on the King William Quiz, but the King referenced above is, of course....

Strider.
