Blah, shifts.
Nov. 28th, 2003 12:09 pmWell, onto evening shifts, which is fine, since it means I get a lie in, and only work five hours today. On the other hand, it also means that I have two 13 hour shifts over the weekend, very busy, and probably not getting much chance to do things like eat. Not so good. Also, of course, whilst I'm doing that, I get to think of my friends at Viceroy, having a great time. :( Still, I hope it all goes well, and that people have fun.
Irritating set of mails on the Isles list, with a faint tang of sour grapes from those who didn't like the heraldry that got voted in, but it looks like it's settling down.
My e-mail remains down (a week now) whilst the server types do things to update the system. It was supposed to be up on Sunday night, but no sign of it just yet. Damnably irritating- you forget just how much you rely on the thing until it's not there any more. Ho hum. And to cap it all off, tardis, my fallback e-mail account seems to no longer answer telnets, so.... bah, humbug. I may be forced to use yahoo if this goes on much longer.
On the plus side, one of my papers has been accepted for publication (for those who attended my class on stab wounds at Collegium of Defence, it's on a rather similar subject, amusingly enough), which is cool.
Ah well. These things are sent to try us.

Date: 2003-11-28 04:34 am (UTC)I must say I am very annoyed at some people because of the device debate thing. I must now learn to step back so that I can move forward better and ignore all the whingeing.
