Again, name the movie OR the Song AND Group. And spot the connection.

1)Oh - but her love is cold, It wouldnt hurt her if she didnt know, cause...

2)We fought him hard we fought him well, Out on the plains we gave him hell

3)All the things we are, On the back seat of the car, With joseph and Emily

4)Well, it is a contact sport, okay? You want ratings. You want people in front of the television instead of picket lines. Well, you're not gonna get that with re-runs of Gilligan's Island.

5)I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

6)Mankind, probably the most mysterious species on our planet. A mystery of open questions. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? How do we know what we believe to know? Why do we believe anything at all? Innumerable questions looking for an answer, an answer which will raise the next question and the following answer will raise a following question and so on and so forth. But in the end, isn't it always the same question and always the same answer?

7)Just wrap your legs round these velvet rims, And strap your hands across my engines

8)Ensign Cartwright, with all due respect to your rank, may I say I think you're an ass?

9)Your ups and your downs, your highs and your lows, Won't you tell me last time that love bought you clothes?

10)Capricorn 15's. Born 2244. Enter the Carousel. This is the time of renewal.

4) Running Man

5) Blade Runner

10) Logan's Run

Might I hazard a guess that the connection is something to do with running?

Yes to all three, and yes to the link. That was bloody fast!

In which case since 2) sounded familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it, might it be "Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills" ?

It is indeed Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden. Only thing I knew off that list.

Rock on ! \m/>.<\m/

I was in the right place at the right time. :) And, after a night's deep thought, might I suggest

8) Run Silent, Run Deep

I can do films, it's music I'm not so hot on.

Yep, it is! As a matter of interest, was that an informed guess, based on the theme?

It was indeed. I pondered which other movies included the word 'Run' in their title, and that was the first that came up. It worked in context.

Can you get the remaining unspotted movie, based on that information, then? (Clue: It's in translation to the English)

7) Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run?

I had to sing the entire song to remember the name. :)

You don't know me. I read your post on someone else's friend list and thought I would play along. :)

Ahah! :)

Well, quickly browsing your list of 1001 things to do, I suspect we'll meet up, since historical locations+embroidery tends to haul people into the SCA orbit, if they're not there already.

My husband and I used to be active in the SCA when we lived in Atlanta (Barony of the South Downs, Meridies). I am primarily a costumer. In fact, the main reason I joined the SCA originally was to have a reason to actually sew the gowns I admired. :) My husband does fencing, heraldry and various other activities. I also enjoy illumination. We have just moved to the UK (week ago Saturday) and haven't really decided if we will become active here or not. Either way, I am sure we will attend some events. :) Perhaps our paths will cross one day.
