Slightly more optimistic today, for no particular reason. It's not like I get Xmas off, or even Boxing day, but perhaps the Season is getting to me anyway.
Several job applications done (Dundee x2, Hull and Swansea), another one (Yorkshire- mostly Leeds) to do. So, fingers crossed, we won't implode in February...
On the down side, I can't get away from work (at least, not for sure) on Monday or Tuesday, when I was planning on taking a half day of leave to drop the Dundee applications in in person- it's not that I don't trust the Royal mail, but I _know_ I missed out on consideration for one job, because First Class delivery didn't manage to send a letter 15 miles in 3 days. I wonder if C would be willing.....
Anyway, at the weekend down to see my parents in Durham, which C isn't enthused about (nor am I, in fact- doing 7 hours of driving for at most 20 hours with my parents seems insane, but what can you do?)
I think possibly the reason today is better (Other than the fact I actually got outside during daylight hours- it was chucking down with rain, but perhaps that's all I needed) is that I'm covering the Trauma Fellow, which means I'm doing a more interesting job, in addition to my own.
Still, back to the grindstone
