So who actually appeared... Steel (of course), Silver and Lead.

Copper and gold are named in the intro, and I think that tin is, but I don't think any of the others are. The remaining one is radium.

I loved that series!

2)Roger Bacon had a bronze head (sculpture!) which gave him prophesies, Homer described the sky as 'bronze'

5)Cyprus 'Cuprium' is the source for Cu as the symbol for copper

6)The display is an LED ;)

7)A policeman's base is a 'Nick' ;)

8) Gold injections are a treatment for Rheumatism
