Not all on my playlist this time (it’s getting a bit harder to avoid repeating myself!), but mostly, and the rest are in my CD collection, or have been played on the radio recently
No repeated artists, with previous memes, or within this one.

no. seven is that Cher thing that goes 'if you wanna know if he loves you so, it's in his kiss *that's where it is!* probably called 'it's in his kiss' ... or something like that.

Yes. It's the 'Shoop shoop song', most recently performed by Cher, tho' that's not the version I have.

15 is the Joss Stone cover of 'Fell in Love with a Boy', originally 'Fell in Love With a Girl' by the White Stripes.
5 is Family Portrait by Pink
6 is Losing My Religion, REM

Correct to all three. I presumed 15 was a cover, since I think all of the tracks on that album are, but I didn't realise that it was a White Stripes number. I shall have to look it up.

Doh. 11. Mississippi Goddamn, Nina Simone.
13, Born in the USA, Springsteen (I can't believe I didn't notice that one pre-coffee)
And, um, holy crow. 14's.... from an opera. Handel's Solomon?
18, Savage Garden...er...(to the)Moon and Back. Damn, there's a neuron that hasn't fired in years.

Yes to all of them!

14 is from Solomon by Handel, technically an Oratorio, rather than an Opera (no acting involved). It's from the Solomon and the Two Harlots segment.

2. Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick, Ian Dury and the Blockheads
5. Family Portrait, P!nk
7. The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in his Kiss), Betty Everett (or possibly a more recent version, like Cher's)

Wild guesses department:
12 The Whole Of The Moon, The Waterboys
16. She Blinded Me With Science, Thomas Dolby
16. Bunsen Burner (Burn Baby Burn), John Otway

If I had to pick one of the two guesses for 16, I'd pick John Otway, with his mean theremin playing. I wish I'd bought that single.

Burn baby Burn!

2, 5, 7, 12 all correct.

16 is indeed 'Bunsen Burner' by John Otway!

Unidentified?

8 is 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay', or whatever it's called. Dunno the title, just half the words.
