On a similar note to the songs and poems meme, here are some lines from movies. Try and name movie, and if possible, character speaking. Oh, and 2 and 3 are from different movies:

1) *gasp* Rollo Tomasi *chuckle* *dies*
2) There is no spoon!
3) There is no Spoon!
4) Roughly translated, that means 10 for him, 10 for him, 10 for you and 10 for me.
5) Beautiful naked big-titted women don't just fall out of the sky you know!
6) Charlie don't surf!
7) It all works out in the end!
8) I don't think he'll be very keen. You see, he's already got one.
9) Only now, at the end, do you begin to understand.
10) You know, this isn't gonna have a happy ending.
11) Impersonating a Cleric of the Church of England,
12) No more rhymes now, I mean it!
13)Just remember this - in this country they drive on the wrong side of the road.
14)We didn't exactly believe your story, Miss O'Shaughnessy. We believed your two hundred dollars.
15)Christian, you may see me only as a drunken, vice-ridden gnome whose friends are just pimps and girls from the brothels. But I know about art and love, if only because I long for it with every fiber of my being.
16) I am going to be killed responsibly, on horseback, as a compliment to the cavalry.
17) No growth without resistance. No action without reaction. No desire without restraint.
18)Every time I hook up with you, I get shot! Last time I got shot in the arse! I'm still in mourning for my arse!
19)Well, what would you prefer? Yellow spandex?
20)The farmers have won. Not us.

I think it's probably Cyclops to Wolverine, but I'm not sure about that.

9. Return of the Jedi. The Emperor I think

12. Princess Bride. The Sicilian

18. The Mummy Rturns. Um..guy who flies the airship

Yes (yes), yes( yes) and yes (yes).

Which in itself sounds like a movie quote. From 'When Harry Met Sally' ;)

Well 2 or 3 is The Matrix, potential One to Neo. I'd opt for 2 cos of the lack of capital ? Or indeed, Neo to himself a few times.

4. The Three Musketeers. Athos to D'Artagnan. To keep Porthos in clothes, Aramis in mistresses, D'Artagnan in lodgings and himself in drink. :)

8. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Spoken by the Frenchman in the tower to Arthur (King of the Britons) when asked about the Grail. The second encounter, I think.

2) The Matrix - child
3) Dog Soldiers - sergeant

Of course, I might have those two the wrong way round.

4) The Three Musketeers - Athos
5) Dogma - Jay.
8) Monty Python and the Holy Grail - French Knight/Armsman/Guard, the guy on the battlements
9) Return of the Jedi - Emperor Palpatine
11) Pirates of the Carribean - Commandant
12) The Princess Bride - Vizzini
14) The Maltese Falcon - Sam Spade
15) Moulin Rouge? - Toulouse Lautrec (or however he's spelt)?
16) The Duellists - Armand De'Hubert
17) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Li Mu Bai
18) The Mummy Returns - airship pilot
19) X-Men - Cyclops to Wolverine

I can only claim 2, 3, 5, 8, 11, 15 and 19 as my own work, and even then 11 is only half mine (I remembered the scene, Merc put it in context). Merc knew the rest. :)

OK, I got 20. But I was so unsure I checked on Google, so it don't count. I'm pretty sure I was thinking of the wrong version anyways :)

I haven't seen the original!

Actually, the lines I read when googling it, sound a lot more fun than the remake.
