Aside from Dragon noises 'Arrarrarraarrr', herself has been saying 'Dada' for quite a long time. Assuming she's not referring to the Swiss cultural movement, we're taking that as her first word (although applied to all sorts of things).

Today she added another. 'Meow'.

Dragon, dad and cat. All the important things. :) In my limited experience, a mother is something much too self-evident to merit a word. Or was I just telling myself that...

I was trying to train her to say Bess (one of our cats) first rather than Dada.

I failed. :(

Actually, it's a well-known fact* that most childrens' first word is floccinaucinihilipilification, but parents don't notice.

* Of the I-just-made-it-up-just-now variety.

Good to hear that she's practicing dragon noises. I came across a dragon hat in IKEA today that I was unable to resist acquiring for her. :)

Technically the three foot dragon puppet is hers.

Technically.
