Well, after a long, and very tiring 2 days at a conference in Manchester (ask me about ormsweird booking me into a theological college... go on... ask me.... ;).... I got back Saturday night. A lazy evening and morning ensued, before we went out late afternoon to see me mum, and then on into town for an early supper at the Fat Buddha restaurant in Durham. Perfectly competent, but uninspired and uninspiring. Not made it onto our 'must return at all costs' lists. Maybe we're food snobs. Dunno.... anyway, and thus onto the main entertainment of the evening...

... Yes... it was the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain! . A cracking hour and a half set (with interval) of humour and music, some of it fairly humourous. I was a little worried, as ormsweird had not been entirely keen (or rather, she was going because I wanted to!), but she seems to have enjoyed herself, and I had a whale of a time, so... a fine group to see live.
