You should do Bookcrossing! (http://www.bookcrossing.com, but they do UK stuff, I just can't recall if they have an all-UK site)

Possibly. Thing is, we're moving, so decreasing the number of books we have 'in play' is a good thing.

Almost theraputic isn't it?

What? Getting rid of books? No! It's traumatic!

I agree - it's incredibly traumatic!

And I'm not that taken with Harry Turtledove either. The jury's still out on that one.

For quite good Alt-History I'd recommend Eric Flint's Belisarius series set in Byzantium/India/Persia circa 420 AD and, best of all, the first three can be downloaded free from www.baen.com

I love electronic books. I can get so many more big thick books in my bag when they're on my PalmPilot. :)

Traumatic for books, yes. But getting rid of things is quite theraputic I find. Sorry for your trauma, hon.

I'd also recommend Alison Brooks web page

Particularly the Sealion demolition, and the Star Wars Villains essay will probably appeal to you.

Don't you find that results in a squashed PalmPilot?
