I've just gotten myself a copy of 'The Anthony Roll' from the Mary Rose Trust (Amazon price 76 quid, Mary Rose price 20 quid+P&P). Rather nice book, tho' certainly not worth 76 quid (more than the archaeology books!). It has 1/2 of a page reproductions (about 65% of original size) of the illustrations of the original roll, and these might be of interest to scribes/illuminators. There is a little bit of script, but not much included, since mostly the book has transcriptions of the text, rather than reproductions.

The reason I'm mentioning this? Well, the copy sent out is missing 8 pages (they're blank) from the text section. I've mailed the Trust, and they're sending out a fresh copy. They haven't said yet if they want the faulty one back (probably not worth it in P&P for them, I suspect!), but if they don't, it'll be available to any illuminators wanting Tudor examples of how Tudors drew ships. (An example of the type is the Mary Rose.... already sunk by the time the roll was finished! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AnthonyRoll-2_Mary_Rose.jpg )
